CARY, N.C., Dec. 16, 2008 - Bruiser Mann, a used-car industry professional with nearly 15 years experience, will join S&A Cherokee as vice president of business development on Jan. 1, 2009. The announcement was made today by Ron Smith, the company's president.

S&A Cherokee has published Auto Remarketing NewsMagazine since 1990 and it is now the leading publication in the late-model, used-vehicle industry. In addition to Auto Remarketing, which is published twice each month, S&A Cherokee also publishes the monthly SubPrime Auto Finance News, produces five industry e-mail newsletters, has two industry-specific Web sites, and hosts several industry conferences annually in the United States and Canada.

Smith said Mann will be responsible not only for enhancing existing entities for the company, but also working with management to expand the automotive segment. Prior to joining S&A Cherokee, Mann was director of sales for Auto Trader Publishing. He left the company last month as a result of a reorganization.

"I am very excited to have Bruiser become a key player on our team," said Smith. "We have worked with him for years and have become fans of his industry knowledge and abilities. We are confident he will help us in our existing products and services, as well as play a key role as we expand in new directions."

Bill Zadeits, S&A Cherokee executive vice president, said Mann's extensive industry knowledge and contacts bring a valuable new element to the company. "Our company has gained a reputation for initiating new things over the past few years," said Zadeits. "Bruiser has the perspective of an industry professional who will be a strong asset as we investigate and launch new programs."

Mann praised S&A Cherokee for the work it has done in the past and its vision for the future. "Certainly Auto Remarketing has become the industry standard for keeping professionals informed of the latest news and trends, both with the print publication and its daily e-mail newsletter," he said. "However, there is so much more to this company than meets the eye. The growth potential Ron, Bill and the others envision is extremely exciting, and I knew I wanted to be a part of that growth."

Mann's primary responsibility will be the conception and development of new activities for the company. He will continue to live in Virginia Beach, Va.
