Chuck Norman Named Cary MacGregor Rotarian of the Year
Cary, N.C., July 6, 2009 — Chuck Norman, APR, executive vice president with S&A Cherokee, has been named Rotarian of the Year by the Cary MacGregor Rotary Club. Norman received the award at a special dinner reception on June 24 at MacGregor Downs Country Club.
Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. The Cary MacGregor Rotary Club meets at MacGregor Downs Country Club every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Among its many activities, the Club helps raise money for local charities and arranges friendship exchanges with other Rotary Clubs from around the world.
Norman has been a member of the Cary MacGregor Rotary Club for 10 years, and has served as sergeant at arms and editor of the club newsletter.
"Rotarian of the Year Chuck Norman exemplifies every quality Rotary stands for," said Club President Jim Smith. "Through his tireless efforts, the Cary MacGregor Rotary Club has become the 'gold standard' by which all Rotary Clubs are judged when it comes to our weekly bulletin. But Chuck's greatest quality is that he continually gives back to the community unselfishly and never expects anything in return."
