Cary, N.C. (Aug. 27, 2009) – Band Together NC, a local non-profit organization that aims to raise funds for select charities through events that showcase and support musical talent, has chosen S&A Cherokee as its communications partner. For the June 2009 concert event, S&A Cherokee donated media relations, marketing and advertising services that helped lead Band Together to its most successful event to date: drawing an audience of nearly 3,000 and raising more than $140,000 for the Lucy Daniels Center. S&A Cherokee will continue its efforts to generate awareness for and promote Band Together's cause moving forward.

"Our relationship with Band Together has blossomed over the last several months," said Ron Smith, president of S&A Cherokee. "We are honored to partner with such a hard-working and generous organization, and look forward to growing the relationship in the future."

Band Together is run entirely by volunteer efforts. Past charities have included SAFEchild, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle, Wake County Boys and Girls Clubs, The Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina for local and Gulf Coast Katrina Relief, Stop Hunger Now for Tsunami Relief, the Music Maker Relief Foundation, the N.C. Chapter of Operation Smile, Special Olympics North Carolina, and the 9/11 Survivors Fund.
